Three robotics fronts within the same hospital

Autonomous hospital cleaning, internal materials logistics and humanised care — deployed in stages, with technical responsibility and staff training.

The context

The problem we solve

A hospital runs 24 hours a day: cleaning, internal transport and patient care cannot depend solely on peak staff availability.

Internal movement of materials, linens and samples consumes hours of clinical staff time that should be spent with patients.

Waiting is part of the hospital experience — and it's exactly where humanised care makes a measurable difference.

Delivery

What we deliver

Design, approval, deployment and ongoing support from our own technical team.

Autonomous hospital cleaning

PUDU cleaning line in corridors, halls and high-traffic areas, with reports for every cycle.

Internal logistics

FlashBot for enclosed transport of materials, linens and samples between departments and floors.

Humanised care

NAO, Pepper and Robios in waiting rooms, paediatrics and reception, with content in Portuguese.

Phased deployment

Pilot in one ward, validation of indicators and gradual rollout to the rest of the unit.

Protocols and safety

Routes compatible with clinical workflows and circulation rules defined together with the institution.

Staff training

Training for hygiene, logistics and nursing staff, plus a local technical lead.

Use cases

Where these robots already work

Public cases featuring the models we represent, reported by the press and by manufacturers.

Robot connects isolated patients with their families

Hospital Universitário Cajuru — Curitiba (PR) · Robios

Challenge:
Carry out triage without exposing staff and keep isolated patients connected with their families.
Solution:
The robot performed autonomous triage and began hosting video calls between patients and relatives.
Result:
Calls of around 15 minutes brought together more relatives than an in-person visit; the main users were elderly patients and those with long hospital stays.

NAO supports therapy and prepares children with cancer

Hospital Militar Central — Bogotá (Colômbia) · NAO

Challenge:
Engage children in communication and behavioural therapy, and help oncology patients understand their treatment.
Solution:
Sessions with NAO complementing conventional therapy, led by the speech-therapy team and the hospital's innovation lab.
Result:
A study published in 2023, with oncology patients aged 8 to 17 in Bogotá, recorded a significant gain in knowledge about diet and catheter care.

NAO cuts the pain children report during vaccination

Alberta Children's Hospital (programa MEDi) — Calgary (Canadá) · NAO

50%less pain reported by children aged 4 to 9 during vaccination
Challenge:
Reduce pain and fear in children during vaccines, exams and procedures.
Solution:
NAO robots with the MEDi programme distract and guide the child during the procedure.
Result:
In a study with 57 children, those supported by the robot reported 50% less pain; the programme reached six Canadian hospitals and one in the US.
